PRE-REGISTRATION IS STRONGLY ENCOURAGED: Available via Active.com and USA Cycling closing on Saturday, 3/23/2011 at 8:00p.m. Pre-registered racers will save money and get a fast track check-in on race day. Pre-registration at the discounted price and check-in are available on Saturday, 3/24/2011, 1:00 – 5:00 p.m. at the cabin.
USAC-MTB ANNUAL LICENSE REQUIRED FOR EXPERTS AND RANKINGS. Annual Licenses are $60 ($30 for Juniors) and can be purchased at the race site, but historically this takes up to six weeks for the card to be received back. Online purchasing is much quicker. Also, to include this race in your USAC-MTB ranking, an annual license must be purchased prior to race day. Take advantage of this elevated level race and pre-purchase a license at www.usacycling.org.
The race director reserves the right to combine classes (classes with less than five riders may be incorporated into other classes). HELMETS REQUIRED.
Prizes:
1 Lap Races: Cat 3 (Base) Classes earn trophies.
2 Lap Races: Cat 2 (Sport) Classes, Single Speed, and Clydesdale will be awarded trophies and merchandise. We often have enough merchandise to go deeper than advertised, so be sure to check on this after the race. Cat 1-2 50+ will receive merchandise.
3 Lap Races: Cat 1 (Expert) and Pro Classes earn trophies and Cash Payout Sheet.
The Course:
Chickasaw Trace is a 300 acre park operated by the Maury County Parks and Recreation Dept. and located on the banks of the Duck River and Knob Creek in Columbia, TN. The mountain bike trail was built and is maintained by the Columbia Cycling Club. The cross-country races will consist of multiple laps on a 9-mile course. The race course and consists of single track (90%) and some open fields. New Course Map
